These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Tech Quarters Pty Ltd ("Tech Quarters", "we", "us"), the Australian company that operates the Peptmate iOS application and the peptmate.com website (together, "Peptmate" or "the Service"). By creating an account or using Peptmate, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What Peptmate is (and is not)
Peptmate is a personal tracking and information tool. It lets you keep a private record of research peptides you choose to track: reconstitution details, schedules, logged doses, weight, mood, and journal notes. It also contains a library of plain-language educational content.
Peptmate is not a medical device, a healthcare service, a pharmacy, or a source of medical advice. Peptmate does not sell, supply, prescribe, or recommend peptides or any other substance, and it does not tell you what, whether, or how much to take. The Medical disclaimer is part of these Terms.
2. Who can use Peptmate
You must be at least 17 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Peptmate, and anything you choose to track with it, complies with the laws that apply to you where you live.
3. Your account
You can sign up with email and password, Sign in with Apple, or Google Sign-In. Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity on your account. Give us accurate information and keep it current. One account per person. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings, and deletion is immediate and permanent.
4. Medical disclaimer
Read this carefully. It is the most important part of these Terms.
- Peptmate provides information and record-keeping only. Nothing in the app, on this website, or in any communication from us is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- The educational content in the app is descriptive and general. It summarises publicly available research with evidence-level labels, and it can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional who knows your circumstances.
- The calculators in Peptmate perform arithmetic on numbers you enter. They do not know what is safe or appropriate for you. Always verify dosing decisions with a qualified healthcare professional before acting on any number the app displays.
- Decisions about whether to use any substance, and how, belong to you and your healthcare professional. Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you read in Peptmate.
- If you think you are experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
- attempt to access another person's account or data;
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or circumvent its security or rate limits;
- copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute the Service or its content;
- reverse engineer or decompile the app except where the law expressly permits it;
- use the Service to promote, arrange, or facilitate the sale or supply of any substance.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
6. Your content
The data you enter into Peptmate (your library, logs, notes, and measurements) belongs to you. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, back up, and display that data solely to operate the Service for you. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy policy, which forms part of these Terms.
7. Pricing and subscriptions
Peptmate is currently free while in beta. We intend to introduce a paid subscription ($11.99/month, or as displayed at purchase time) once the beta ends. If and when subscriptions launch:
- prices will be shown clearly in the app before you pay;
- payment is processed by Apple through your App Store account, and subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period;
- you can manage or cancel in your App Store subscription settings;
- refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policies.
We may change pricing for future billing periods with reasonable advance notice. Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
8. Changes to the Service
Peptmate is a young product and changes quickly. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We work hard to keep the Service available and your data safe, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. We recommend keeping your app updated to the latest version.
9. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and we exclude all implied warranties. To the same extent, Tech Quarters is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or any loss arising from decisions you make in reliance on information or calculations in the Service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded. Where our liability can be limited, it is limited, at our option, to re-supplying the Service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied, and our total liability to you is otherwise capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these Terms or your unlawful use of the Service, except to the extent we caused the loss.
10. Changes to these Terms
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and notify active users in the app or by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Peptmate after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
